Wrestlers from Smithers high school dominated the annual northwest zone schools’ wrestling finals held in Terrace on Feb. 1. Smithers ran up 98 points to capture the team standings, and took home seven of the 15 weight-class gold medals. Smithers also picked up six silver and three bronze. Hazelton was runnerup with 58 points on one gold, four silver and five bronze. Terrace came through with a vastly-improved per- formance to grab third place with 55 points on four gold, three silver and one bronze. Kitwanga had 30 points on three gold medals.
