The Liveable Region Plan must include more detail on altemate transportation modes;

Funds generated from financial disincentives airned at reducing the use of automobiles
mast be directed towards improving and implementing alternate modes of transportation.

Educational, health, social and other services provided by senior levels of government nusst
be provided on a timely basis to accommodate projected growth;

The GVRD must ensure that water supply and sewage disposal services are provided on a
timely basis to accommodate projected growth;

The GVRD must initiate a regional jobs and investment strategy in conjunction with
Provincial Ministries, towards achieving the "complete community" objective and proposed
employment targets.

That Lot 8, Plan 9069, being 2506 Pitt River Road, be purchased by the Corporation of the City
of Port Coquitlarn for the sum of $121,500.00; -

That the adjustment and possession date be March 31, 1994, or such other date as mutually
agreed upon;

That closing costs and various adjustments be made in the normal manner as between vendor
and purchaser, _

And that His Worship the Mayor together with the City Clerk be authorized to execute such
Deeds, Documents, Plans, Cheques, or other instruments as are necessary for the purpose
aforesaid.

Councillor Gates suggested that Council discuss the Rogers Cable situation.

Seconded by Councillor Keryluk:

That a letter be sent to Rogers Cable requesting a meeting with Mayor L.M. Traboulay and
Councillor M.D. Gates to negotiate a rebate to the City for services that have not been rendered,
and that copies of said letter to be sent to the CRTC, Sharon Hayes, MP, Daphne Jennings, MP,

and Michaei Famworth, MLA.
