Traboulay Alderman M.A. Thompson The question was then called on the original motion of Aldermen Laking and Keryluk, as amended: That as recommended in a report from the City Administrator, October 18th, 1974, the 5% acres of land located at 2650 Wilson Avenue be purchased from the owners, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Schinz, for the price of $50,000.00, payable in annual payments of $10,000.00 over a period of five years; THAT the City endeavour to recover some or all of the purchase price by way of the "Green Belt Fund" from the Province of British Columbia; AND THAT the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute the hecessary maps, deeds, plans, etc., therefore on behalf of the City and to affix the Corporate Seal thereto. Alderman Traboulay voted against the resolution. ‘Lty Adm.re price From the City Administrator, October 18th, 1974, referring to the eduction-Sunmny Pk. chool site sale of City land to the School Board for the Sunny Park School site, and recalled the fact that it was agreed the School Board would dedicate a small piece of land to provide a cul-de-sac turn-around at the end of Suffolk Street; however, it was later determined that a small portion of land should be dedicated from the City property to provide a cul-de-sac turn-around on the continuation of Suffolk on the East side of the school site, which dedication was not included in the original transaction, and the School Board has determined this should be reflected in the Price paid to the City; therefore, they have asked that the purchase price be reduced by $850.00, representing the land area of approximately 1,100 square feet times .80¢ a square foot. Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That as recommended in a report from the City Administrator, October 18th, 1974, the price paid to the City for purchase by the School Board of City property for the Sunny Park School Site be reduced from $62,500.00 to $61,650.00, a difference of $850.00, which represents the value of a small portion of land area to be dedicated from the City property to provide a cul-de-sac turn-around on the continuation of Suffolk Street, that is, on the East side of the school site.
