SUBJECT: ENGINEERING DESIGN - ROADS, DRAINAGE, WATER AND >
SANITARY SEWER DCC PROJECTS

RECOMMENDATION:

That Councii authorize the Engineering Department to proceed with requesting proposals for the
Engineering [’esign portion of the 19 rcads, drainage, water and sanitary sewer development
cost charge projects as listed in the attached proposed 1994 Capital Budget.

BACKGRP.OUND & COMMENTS:

The Public Works Committee considered the attached memorandum dated February 16, 1994
from the Project Engineer regarding the Engineering Design for the proposed 1994 Development
Cost Charge Projects. The Engineering Design for these projects be completed as soon as
possible so that these projects are constructed during the better construction season.

After bids are received for the engineering/consulting work. a report will be forwarded to
Council for the selection of specific consultants for these DCC Projects and the proposed
funding of the works. Attached is Table 1 showing the list of DCC Projects and the proposed
schedule for the engineering design.
