SUBJECT: COAST MERIDIAN BARGE LOADING FACILITY

RECOMMENDATION:

That Committee authorize the following requirements for users of the Coast Meridian Barge
Loading Facility:

1) $150 per day user fee.

2) Arefundable Highway Use Bond of $5,000 for security
to ensure that any damage is repaired.

3) Aprovision of 5 million dollars comprehensive public
liability and property damage insurance.

BACKGROUND & COMMENTS:

Since the Coast Meridian Barge Loading Ramp was constructed in 1991, users were required to
submit a $5,000 refundable deposit and complete the application for the Highway Use Permit as
shown on the attached memorandum dated October 10, 1992.

It is recommended that in addition to the Highway Use Permit, that users pay a fee of $150 per
day for administration and future construction plus provide proof of 5 million dollars
comprehensive liability insurance.
