Acting Admin. the appointment of an Acting Acninistrator, ; & Deputy Treas. : ; Moved by Alderman Keryluk: Seconded by Alderman Muldoon: That as recommended by His Worship the Mayor, Mr. R.A. Freeman, City Clerk, be appointed Acting Administrator pending the appointment of a successor for Mr. L.D. Poilock; AND THAT Mr. Freeman be also appcinted Deputy Treasurer. Carried. Ald. Mabbett Alderman Mabbett referred to comments made in the March, 1981 re SPCA report report from the S.P.C.A. to the affect that complaints were down and. he advised that in his opinion the reason for this was that people feel no action would be taken when they did call the S.P.C.A. C : i a is ‘ a f ie Ald. Mabbett Alderman Mabbett advised that he wished to attend the forthcoming “CM re FCM conf. Conference of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities. Ald. Muldoon Alderman Muldeon referred to Alderman Mabbett's comments concerning re SPCA. the 8.P.C.A. and advised that as Chairman of that Committee she would be only too pleased to receive complaints or concerns. Ald. Keryluk Alderman Keryluk suggested that all members of Council be permi.ted ‘re FCM Conf. , to attend this year's convention of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities but he advised that he would not be in a position to so attend. Ald. Keryluk Alderman Keryluk inquired of His Worship the Mayor concerning the ‘re negotiations with City state of negotiations with the City's employees currently on strike -employees. : ; and was advised thet these negotiations would resume tomorrow. Ald. Gates Alderman Gates referred to a community care facility operat d by | re Comm. Care Mrs. A. Burton on Gra:: Street and he advised that the property and Facility - Grant Street. business had been sold and he suggested that the new owner be invited to attend and discuss the matter with the Council and to this the Council \ generally agreed. ‘Adjournment.
