RPORATION OF THE CITY uF PORT coquiTlAia 7 4 7 3. Local Streets All streets not designated as Arterials or Collectors would be considered to be Local Streets. While these Local Streets are not of great significance to the overali traffic movements it is suggested that it is important to adopt some programme whereby these Local Streets can be upgraded at an acceptable rate, This year Councii approved an expendi~ ture of $40,000 for Local Streets under a Local Improvement Programme. It is recommended that a Local Improvement Programme for Local Street Projects be instituted so that a typical property owner with 60 feet of frontage who recej.ved the benefit of storm sewer, pavement and extruded curb would pay approximately $100.00 per year. It is intended that pro- jects in this category would proceed on the basis of "first come, first served". These local improvement charges would then be ae follows: Standard Cost Per Interest Annual Number of Work Classof Work front Yoot Rate Charga of Yoara Residential Pavement ~ 28' Standard Width ° § 3.50. $58: 10 Residential Rvement - Misc.
