June 9th, 1975 BE If RESOLVED that this Council permit four family use of duplexes for rental purposes. Tabled. Prior to the question being called on the foregoing proposed resolution, Alderman Laking stated his view that the matter should be referred to the Planning & Zoning Committee for consideration. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Mabbett: That the foregoing proposed resolution to permit four family use of duplexes for rental purposes be tabled pending receipt of a report and recommendation from the Planning & Zoning Committee thereon. Carried. From the Finance Committee, June 6th, 1975, advising that a request Finance Comm re budget has been received from the Coquitlam & District Hospital Society to short-fall- assist in a short-fall in its budget this year. The Committee, in its Hop Soeiacy report, pointed out that the assistance provided to the Society last year was $3,000.00; however, this year the amount required is approximately $5,000.00 and neither the B.C. Hospital Insurance Service nor the G.V.R.D. will cover this excess cost. In its report, the Committee advised that the District of Coquitlam has agreed to pay one half of the amount and that a request for assistance has also gone to the City of Port Moody. Moved by Alderman Mabbett: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That as recommended in a report from the Finance Committee, June 6th, 1975, the City of Port Coquitlam share with the District of Coquitlam in financing the $5,000.00 1975 Budget short-fall of the Coquitlam & District Hospital Society; PROVIDED however, that in the event further contributions are received from Electoral Area B and/or the City of Port Moody, the sharing be reduced accordingly.
