Annual Conference ~ Municipal Officers*
Association of British Colurbia

The Municipal Officers’ Association of Piitish Columbia is
holding its annual conference in Nelson on Wednesdvy, Thursday and
Friday, May 30th through June 1, 1973. The conference meetings will
convene in the Nelson Civic Centre and an interesting and constructive
Progcam for large and snall municipalities and for regional districts
has been arranged by the Fxecutive of the Association. The conference
Program, I am sure, will be informative and of valle to all local
government officers.

Senior nemkers of the Department vill participate actively
in the program and ruch time will be devoted to reviewing and discussing
current changes in legislation and other matters of interest to the
delegates which affect both tunicipalities and repfonil districts.

A banquet followed by a social evening anc dance is planned
for the evening of Thursday, “fey 3lst, with the Government of the
Province of British Columbia acting as host.

The staff of the Departrent will be available to delegates
during the period of the conference in the event that there are matters
that can be dealt with nore veadily by personal contact. In view of
the changes that are constantly taking place it is important that all
municipalities and regional districts be represented at the conference
to ensure the exchange of as much information as possible. f sincerely
hope that you or your Council or Board will arrange for aa many of your
appointed officials as possible to attend,
