the general pattern of development of the Regiona District, including areas to become urbanized or to remain undeveloped, agricultural areas, the regional open space system, the location of major centres of activity and higher density and the areas to be redeveloped; the infrastructure required to support the plan's objectives, including transportation corridors, facilities, systems and services, regional water and sewer services and waste disposal facilities; and e) the economic and Social policies and programs needed to support the plan's objectives. The Regional Board will ensure the following actions are completed as part of the preparation of a Regional Strategic Pian: a) preparation of forecasts, projections and other researcn concerning matters to tbe contained in the Regionai Strategic Plan; review and analysis of Official Community Plans for municipalities and Electoral Areas in the Regional District affecting or affected by matters tc be addressed in the Regional Strategic Plan; consultation with member municipalities, neighbouring regional districts and municipalities and senicr government agencies in respect to matters to he addressed in the Regional Strategic Plan; and d) consultation with the public regarding matters to be addressed in the Regiona! Strategic Plan. Prior to the Regional Board adopting a Regional Strategic Plan, a resolution of approval in principle of the proposed Regional Strategic Plan must be passed not less than sx months prior to adoption. Within one month of approval in principle of the resolution described in Section 4, the Regional Board will refer the proposed Regional Strategic Plan io member municipalities of the Regional District anc its Electoral Area Directors.
