February 26, 1988 Mr. & Mrs. John Knobbe 2350 Lobb Ave. Port Coquitlam, 8.C. V3C 1M8 941 - 2392 The Citv of Port Coquitlam 2272 McAllister Ave. Port Coquitlam, B.C. V3C 248 ATTENTION: THE MAYORS OFFICE & MEMBERS OF CITY COUNCIL ELECT Dear Sirs: We are writing in regards to the condition of the West Side of Lobb Ave. Due to all the construction now in progress Lobb Ave. has deteriorated considierably to the point where it is impossible for us to back out of our drive way. ‘fe must now go backwards, which is not legal, all the way to Shaughnessy Sc., which at times is very hair - raising with all the vehicals from sub-trades, big trucks coming down the road etc. Now with the additional development (re the rezoning proposed, which we are sure will pass hearings) further down Lobb Ave., we feel, Lobb Ave. should be upgraded to include proper paving, curbs, storm sewers and what ever else is necessary to ensure us, the exisiting tax payers, that we do not have to put up with a road that will breakdown with all this additional traffic, not to mention the safety hazzards involved. This was discussed at the Council Hearing before the first development was passed, which is now being constructed. After living at this address for the past 14 years we have seen what damage the water run-off from Shaughnessy St. has done to what is now left of Lobb Ave. At this time we would also like to express our dismay at learning the developer who is building next to us only has to put up a $500.00 Damage Bond, because the damage done to the lane, our fence garage and yard we feel exceeds this figure. As a home owner and tax payer what protection do we have? page 1/2 "05
