SUBJECT: Stop Signs - Public Works Committee December 1, 1987

Recommendation:

That stop signs be installed at the following
intersections:

1. Kilmer Street north of Fraser Avenue.

2- Larch Way south of Fraser Avenue.

Background and Comments:

The Public Works Committee dealt with a letter from a
resident of Fraser Avenue regarding the lack of a stop sign at
Kilmer Street. The Birchtand Elementary School is In the
immediate vicinity of this intersection and the lack of a stop
sign poses a hazard to children walking along Fraser Avenue.

The Committee felt that the same conditions applied at the
intersection of Larch Way and Fraser Avenue, and that for ;

consistency, both intersections should be dealt with at the
same time.
