SUBJECT: Terry Fox Library.

RECOMMENDATION:

: ‘That Finwood Holdings Ltd. be awarded the contract to
construction of the new library at the price of $1,165,895 and that the
‘Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign the necessary contract with Finwood

Holdings Ltd.

BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:

Finwood was the low bidder in the tender for the new
library and meets all the requested stipulations and conditions.

Finwood Holdings Ltd. is a two year old firm working out
of Burnaby, is a union shop and has recently completed work for the Kamloops
Indian Band, Union Gospel Housing, the Sunshine Coast Regional District and
is just completing a one million gallon reservoir for the Capital Regional

District.

If Council approves the recommendation we would be signing
a standard construction contract with Finwood.

A list of bids received is attached.
