A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chamber, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on June Ist, 1981 at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor G.R. Laking, Aldermen M.D. Gates, J.J. Keryluk, E.W. Mabbett, A.K. Muldoon, L.M. Traboulay and M.R.. Wright in attendance. Also in attendance were Acting-Chief Administrative Officer R.A. Freeman, Fire Chief W.S. Wingrove, Deputy Fire Chief J.N. Boileau, Senior By-law Officer R.G. Criggie, Planning Consultant A. Phillips, City Solicitor R.M. MacKenzie, Works & Utilities Superintendent G.W. Ulmer and Mrs. D.L. Vyse. Alderman Keryluk introduced the Planning Consultant, Mr. Art Phillips, and advised he is from the firm of Eikos Group Inc., who are now acting as the City's Planners. Seconded by Alderman Wright: That the minutes of the regular meeting of this Council held on May 25th, 1981 be taken as read and adopted. Carried. DELEGATIONS: Delegations: His Worship Mayor G.R. Laking introduced Mrs. Thelma McAdam who Mrs. T. McAdam re then made a presentation to Council advising of her opposition to the Spraying ~ Schools & spraying of schools and schoolyards with various chemicals. Schoolyards. Mayor Laking advised he had been in contact with the School Board and asked that Mrs. McAdam contact them for further information on the sprays used around the schools.
