Whereas the Skagit Valley is a popular recreational area of great
value to the people of British Columbia,

This Council resolves that it 1s completely opposed to the raising
of Ross Dam and consequent flooding of the Skogit Valley;

Thia Council therefore fully supports the request of the Government

of B.C, to the International Joint Commission, and further requests the

International Joint Commission to hold full publie hearings into this

matter,
