Harry Nyce ec NORTHWEST COM- MUNITY College presi- dent Stephanie Forsyth. is one of the latest northwest citizens to receive the Queen’s Golden Jubilee medal. ~She and other college So vpresidents across B.C. were on a list of 211 B.C. citizens released by Pre- miet~Gordon Campbell’s office two weeks ago. The-medals were struck in honour of the Queen’s 30th anniversary on the throne and are being pre- ‘sented to people who have made contributions to their “ community and profession. The provincial govern- ment received more than 800 medals and in the case of the premier’s list, names were sought from business, education and sports groups. , Forsyth has been presi- dent of Northwest Com- munity College for the past two and a half years, and has had a long career in public education and community service. Prior to moving to Ter- race, she was Dean of College and Community Partnerships at Capilano College, where her respon- sibilities included the de- velopment of partnerships and outreach programs in Provincial medal list Includes college head the various communities served by the college, in- cluding work with First Nations bands, community organizations, businesses, and secondary schools. Previously she held si- milar leadership positions at Selkirk College, Van- couver Community Col- lege and Malaspina Uni- versity College.
