A Management and Working Plan is a strategic plan submitted by a company to the Ministry of Forests for approval every five (5) years, which indicates general goals and objectives, forest management strategies and operating procedures to be followed during the next five (5) year period. Our current Management and Working Plan (#7) covers the 1987-91 period. A new Management and Working Plan (#8) will be due at the end of 1991, for the period 1992-97. | What is a Tree Farm Licence? | Sk . Provisions must be made for the continual maintenance and use of other resource values. What is Tree Farm Licence No. 1? Tree Farm Licence No. 1 is shown in shade on the KITSUMKALUM map. It encompasses a total area of 600,000 hectares, of | . which approximately 200,000 hectares is suitable for timber growing and harvesting. It is divided into three (3) geographic areas: @ the Whitebottom area south of Terrace, © the Copper area east of Terrace, and @ the Kalum-Nass area north of Terrace.
