SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR CATCH BASIN AT 3579 ST. ANNE ST.

RECOMMENDATION:
Turn down request for installation of catch basin in front of property at 3579 St. Anne St.
BACKGROUND & COMMENTS:

Attached is a letter from the residents of 3579 St. Anne St. requesting that the Engineering Dept.
install a catch basin in front of their property.

Reason For Request

The residents are concerned about the lack of drainage at the end of their driveway. They feel
that a catch basin will solve the problem.

Cause Of Problem

The low area is a result of the driveway being paved with an improper base prep on the
boulevard portion. This has caused the ground to sink creating a depression for water to fill up.
Please note that this driveway portion is on City property and was probably installed without
permission from the City. _ | pe

1) > Fill in area by applying asphalt to the boulevard portion of the driveway at a cost of |
