Long Term Goals

1. To provide a quality level of service to the public while maintaining a high standard of
building in the City.

2. to promote harmony with the public by improved methods of communication.

Short Term Goals
1. To improve service to the public by:
a) Updating the Building Bylaw.
b) Preparing information handouts.
c) Increasing the speed and accuracy of the Building Permit Process.
To improve Building Department service to the City by:

a) Developing a Policy Manual.

b) Preparing internal forms for Building Department use and for liaison with others.

c) Adapting the Building Department to changing building trends.

d) Encouraging educational seminars and courses for Building Department staff.
