Highway Use Bylaw Amendment -
Works and Services Committee, April i7th, 1984

1 am returning to you the draft proposed Bylaw No. 2011 to
replace our current Highway Use Bylaw No. 1118. The changes
incorporated by our solicitors have now been reviewed by the Works
and Services Committee and a set of specifications for driveway
access is attached. The specifications are amended somewhat from
whet was sent by our soficitors and have been approved by the
Works and Services Committee.

The basic changes in this Bylaw with respect to our old
Bylaw are as follows:

1. Provision is made to require owners of properties in the
City to have street numbers shown in a visible location on

the front of the house.

Provision is made to make tha owner of a property
responsible for dirt which is deposited on the road due to
vehicles hauling to or from his property.

Control of fences and trees or shrubs at intersection
properties is clarified.

Specifications are provided to determine the basis on which

the Engineer wili approve driveway HW
