Even if we had a lower weight limit than the highways,
we would still get the larger sized trucks which would then have
to carry less than full loads. We have no scales or ways of
checking what the actual gross weight of a vehicle is when it
enters the City streets,

, Nevertheless, it is probably desirable for the City to
have a weight restriction in its Bylaw and therefore the Committee
recommends that Section 602 of the Traffic Bylaw which controls
the size of vehicles. be amended to include the weight as well.
