ANNE STREET AND OXFORD STREET The area described above is frequented by children who are on their way to ox from school (presently, Viscount Alexander Elementary School). ; Recent roadwork and the construction of a new school to the north of the exisiting structure has created new safety concerns for this area. The following information will assist in illustrating the danger. 1) There exists an open ditch (approximately 10' wide and 3' deep) on the south side of Dorset Avenue, in tront° of addresses 1920 and 1930. School children frequently walk on the street side of the ditch as opposed to the grassy side. Just east of St. Anne, at the west corner of 1930 Dorset Avenue, the sidewalk and curb end, and the avenue abruptly narrows froma wi idth of 25' down. to 19'. As a result, east bound traffic on Dorset Avenue is funnelled onto the narrower section of. the road, which is bordered by the ditch.
