se THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM MEMORANDUM B.R. Kirk DATE: June 24, 1992 City Administrator LR. Zahynacz, P. Eng. City Engineer SUBJECT: TRUCK - 1992 PUBLIC WORES of June 16, 1992) 1) That Council award the tender for a new flush/vacuum truck to National Machinery Ltd. at the tendered price of $243,586.19. 2) That 243,586.19 be allocated from the Public Works Capital Equipment Replacement Fund. Under the 1992 Public Works Equipment Replacement Program, the City is to purchase a flush/vacuum truck. Four suppliers submitted a total of 20 separate bids for this tender as shown on the attached tender summary. The lowest tender of $243,112.57 from Rollins Machinery is not acceptable because the proposed vehicle has a 1000 gallon water tank rather than the 1500 gallon water tank required in the tender specifications. It is therefore recommended that this tender be awarded to the second lowest bidder National Machinery based on the tendered price of $243,586.19. LR. Zdhynacz, P. Eng. City Engineer.
