Mr. Alex Lang, property owner of 811 Huber Drive, advised he was opposed to the proposed rezoning from single family residential to duplex zoning and further advised other residents who had signed the petition were also present. Mr. Roy Covington, property owner of 4029 Ayling Street, advised he was opposed to the proposed rezoning from single family to duplex zoning. Mr. Gary Mathies, property owner of 4032 Ayling Street, advised he supported the petition and advised he was opposed to the proposed rezoning. Mr. Hans Haack, property owner of 843 Huber Drive, advised he was in support of the petition. By-law No. 1854: To rezone Lot 9, Parcel "LU", District Lot 479, Group One, Plan 20218, New Westminster District, from RS~1 to RT=1. This property is located at 3517/19 Coast Meridian Road and presently has a duplex dwelling located thereon. The rezoning contemplated will place the property in the correct zone for its current use. Mr. C.H. Rackham, property owner of 3519 Coast Meridian Road was present and advised that the insurance company had notified him that if the duplex was to burn down the insurance would only cover the building of a single family dwelling due to the zoning now on the property. The Public Hearing adjourned at 7:45 p.m. CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES: Moved by Alderman Gates: Seconded by Alderman Wright: That the minutes of the regular meeting of this Council held on August 31st, 198] be taken as read and adopted.
