Now you can sit dewn and relax but wait oh no! They're back already and they're bored, NOT YETHII Relax falks there are lots of things to do in B.C. Parks this summer. First, see what your Park Naturalist has planned for the day or evening. At Lakelse Lake Park programs for kids and adults alike are run five days a week, with slide and video shows on many inleresting topics, games, crafts and guest speakers, If nothing is happening at that particular moment alan your own activities with the kids, Be an animal tracker and look for tracks in the mud or wet sand. Have the kids make sketches and see how many yau can identify or ask your park naturalist about ones you aren't sure of. Gel to know your insects, on a hot day find an ant and follow it far at leasi ten minutes, Use a magnifying glass to see them better and talk to tha kids about their different activities. Ants, like us, have jobs. Take a walk in the forest and needle a pine tree. Find a pine and try to identify it from its needles or lel cones be your clues. Try soaking a dry cone later and see what happens. Discover the dusk and look closer at what happens as the suns sels. Listen for birds and other creatures that hagin to sing as darkens descends, There are iots of things to occupy your time in the park. Be creative ar ask your park naturalist for some hints.
