Throughout his career he has been awarded many prizes both at home and abroad. Among other prizes, he received the ADISQ Félix Hommage in 1993, which is a testimony to the importance of his work in the Francophone music world as well as in the cultural evolution of Quebec in the 60s and 70s. In 2005, a compilation of his most famous songs came out on an album Tout écartillé, with a show on tour under the same name. The Francophone Summer Festival is honoured to welcome him this year in Vancouver, which will be the only Western Canadian city where Charlebois will be giving a perfor- mance. It will be a unique opportunity to discover and rediscover the repertoire of this Quebecois legend ! Canadian born singer Suzana Da Camara sings in French, Portuguese and English. With her family roots in the Azores, she has been profoundly influenced by Portuguese culture and music. She sings of love and life, her lyrics set to the seductive rhythms of bossa nova and jazzy melodies accompanied on piano and the soft notes of an accoustic guitar. In 2005, Suzana released her third album, which she composed with guitarist Mike Dell under the direction of producer Jack Rich- ardson. The album brought Suzana recognition at the Music and Film in Motion awards, with two nominations for both best album and best song for Searching Deep Down. The album also was se- lected as one of the 10 best recordings of 2005 by the programme Fresh Air on CBC / Radio-Canada. Her talent travels well beyond our national boundaries. In Novem- ber 2005, the Portuguese radio station Radio Club de Angra chose her as artist of the month and in August 2005, the Japanese jazz radio station Yellow Beat named Suzana artist of the month and her cut Cha Cha song of the month. Since January 2006, her album has been distributed in several countries in Asia including Japan, Thailand and Indonesia.
