Riverwood Area Control Plan
Purposed Amendment

RECOMMENDATION:

That Council approve the amendments to the land use designation in the
Riverwood Area Control Plan and Official Community Plan shown on the
attached map.

BACKGROUND & DISCUSSION:

The School Board has revisited its need for school property within
Riverwood Area. As a result, the Board has been foiced to purchase
additional iands in the center of The Riverwood Area and significantly
reduce the size of the school parcel located at the East side of the
Riverwood Subdivision.

The attached drawing illustrations the revised school needs and transfer
land use designation so as to achieve an equal amount of land designated
for single family, townhouses and garden apartments, as per the original
area control plan.
