RE: Ultimate Road Network Plan

A letter from the Ministry of Highways regarding our proposed
ultimate road network was reviewed by Council in Committee on June 18th,
19798. I. have attached a copy of a memorandum to me from the City
Administrator which summarizes the discussion at that Committee Meeting.
A copy of the original letter is also attached for your review.

The points as outlined by the City Administrator also agree
with my recollection of Council's position at that meeting. I have
received no further comments from members of Council.

If these points accurately express Council's feelings, I would
request approval to carry on further discussions with the Ministry of
Highways with a view to coming to some kind of agreement on the outstanding
points prior to our application for the 1980 Highway Cost Sharing Grant.
