PROPOSED ROAD CLOSURE - SOUTH END OF RAE STREET
(Public Works Committee Meeting of February 1, 1993)

RECOMMENDATION:

That Council authorize the City Engineer to temporarily close Rae Street south of Evans Place.

BACKGROUND & COMMENTS:

At present there are construction vehicles that are using Rae Street through the existing
development to access the new subdivision south of Rae Street.

It is proposed to temporarily close Rae Street south of Evans Place until such time as the heavy
construction has been completed in the new subdivision. In the mean time, there are still
accesses available to the new subdivision from Prairie Avenue and Fremont Street as shown on
the attached plan.

The neighbourhood will be notified in advance by letter.
