Alderman Muldoon asked the Fire Chief if a lane would. be required
for access to the development for fire fighting equipment and the Fire
Chief advised he would consider the matter. Alderman Traboulay advised
the lane would be provided later during further development of the area.

That as recommended by the Public Works Committee, June 4th, 1981
the tender for the 1981 Paving Contract be awarded to the lowest bidder,
Imperial Paving, at a cost of $32.80 per tonne.
Alderman Muldoon asked where the asphalt plant would be located and
the City Engineer advised it would be in Richmond or Mission, probably
Mission. Alderman Muldoon expressed concern regarding the distance
the asphalt would be hauled and Alderman Traboulay advised the Committee
had discussed the distance and did not consider this to be a problem.

Budget.
