Freeman, Citv Clerk Re: Return for Reconsideration — Section 189 - Municipal Act he Council will recall that under date of February 15th, 1974 the Public Works Committee requested that Council give approval to a 1974 Budget item calling for an expenditure of approximately $5,000.00 to construct 800 lineal feet of chain link fence on the East side of Cedar Drive ditch North of Prairie Avenue. The Public Works Committee, in its report, stated that this would provide a much higher degree of safety immediately North of Prairie Avenue and at the bus stops across from Pinemont and Patricia. The report of the Public Works Committee was considered at the regular Council meeting held on February 18th, 1974 and the following resolution was passed: "That as recommended in a report from the Public Works Committee, the installation of 800 lineal feet of chain link fence on the East side of Cedar Ditch Worth of Prairie at a cost of $5,000.00, be approved." . His Worship Mayor J.M. Campbell has now instructed us to return this resolution to the Council for reconsideration under Section 180 of the iunicipal Act. At the Council meeting at which this memorandum is considered Mayor Campbell will State his objections to the resolution and we will record such objections in the minute hook. " The Council then has the opportunity to consider Mayor Campbell's objections and may either reaffirm the resolution or reject it. If rejected, the resolution may not be re-introduced into the Council within a period of six months, except with the unanimous consent of the Council. —~\. Ges Sere ) City Clerk
