Novenber 26th, 1973 Prior to defeat of the foregoing resolution, Alderman Ranger stated he did net agree with the first two sentences of the statement and did not believe to endorse it would reflect his Feelings. Alderman Meyer stated he would be cuite e willing to delete the first. two sentences; however, the seconder was not agreeable to amending the original statement. From the Building & Protection Connittee, November 26th, 1973, regarding the Building & Prot.Comm.- re Orchard ; ' Valley Est. at as a resuit of the meeting development progress of : meetings between H. A. Roberts Ltd. and. the purchasers of units in the Orchard ‘Valley Estates developnent, and advising th held on | Saturday, it was agreed that: l. H.A. Roberts would deposit some form of security with the City to cover build- ing deficiencies and completion of construction of the greenhouse, covered play areas and the recreation building. 2. The Building Conmittee recommends that no telaxatioz be allowed with respect to construction of the recreation building and access to the properties and that the project be completed in accordance with plans submitted to the City at the time the strata. plan was approved. 3. That occupancy of Strawberry Grove be permitted when the Chief Inspector and Fire Chief are satisfied: that the building is safe for occupancy, and provided adequate security is deposited with the City as in 1. above.. Moved by Alderman Thompson: Seconded by Alderman Mabbett: That the. three recommendations set forth ina report from the Building and Protection Committee, November 26th, 1973, with respect to the Orchard Valley Estates development, be accepted. Prior to passage of the foregoing tesolution, Alderman Thompson requested that the words ' ‘and that they be in accordance with City By-laws and Health regu- lations" be added to the end of recommendation No. 2 of the report, and to this. the Council generally agreed.
