IT’S OUR BIRTHDAY!

The Terrace-Kitimat Daily Herald is celebrating its 70th anniversary this week.

We first started out as the Omenica Herald in July, 1908, published by Devoin & Coyle in Hazelton with

branches in Telkwa , the Bulkley Valley and Port Essington.

’ Since then over the years we've moved to Terrace, become part of the Sterling Publications chain of

newspapers, become a dally paper in May.1, 1977 and most recently, expanded out our news and
circulation coverage to Kitimat. co

. We, the staff at The Herald, would like to say “Thanks” to all our readers for helping
