Union delegates from three
I.W.A. local unions sent in
photos from this year’s Cana-
dian Labour Congress win-
ter school in Port Elgin,
Ontario. Above were 37
members from Local 1000,
which, each year, uses it educa-
tion fund to send delegates. Mid-
dle photo are Local 1-2995 Dele-
gates, eight of whom took the
first-ever steward’s training
courses in French. The local also
negotiates an education fund in
various agreements. Bottom
photo has delegates from
Hanover, Ontario Local 500,
who also attended a week-long
course. The local is a strong
supporter of education for its
members.
