(2) Reduce the samadhi of hours required to earn one year of credited service from 1600 to 1200 hours and credit members with all earned vacation hours. (8) Change the normal retirement age to 62 with 10 years’ service. (4) Provide unreduced: early retirement benefits to members under age 62 but at least age 50, who have a minimum of 15 years’ service, and their age plus service equals 70 or more who are affected by: — permanent layoff — lengthy layoff — technological changes or changes in working methods or facilities which involve the discharge or laying off of employees. (5) Increase the benefit levels to $25 per month for each year of service. (6) Maintain the purchasing value of all benefits by using the excess interest wcomned -by-the fund. . (7) Provide a aubstahtial increase to retired plan members. (8) Provide greater protection for survi- vors in the event of death before retirement.
