LOCAL 1-288's FAREWELL SOCIAL

Members of Local 1-288 IWA (Lumber Inspectors) whose Local Union
was phased out last year held a farewell banquet and dance December 6,
in Nanaimo, which was also attended by a number of IWA Local Union
officers, Regional officers and International officers. Prior to the social
the former officers of the Local Union held a brief business meeting at
® which the decision was made to hold an informal meeting once a year.
The former members are now members of IWA Local Unions in areas in
which they now work.
