Multiple Awards

WCB Multiple Safety Awards were presented to the
logging and sawmill operations of MacMillan & Bloedel-by
Mr. J. E. Eades, Chairman of the Workmen’s Compensa-
tion Board, at a dinner, June 17, in the Malaspina Hotel,

A logging truck and a low-bed trailer and truck were parked
on a slight grade with motors running. A shovel operator helped
the logging truck driver disconnect the towbar.

The shovel operator was replacing the keeper pin in the clevis ee
when the logging truck went back crushing him against the low-bed.
