Sisters Bradley, Hamer, Hen- drie,* Rankin and Hodgson at- tended the Local Educational In- stitute, Sister Bradley reported that she felt that the trade union history on B.C, should have been included. She felt that the in- structor dealt too much with per- sonalities. Sister Rankin like- wise felt that the Instructor dealt too much with personalities, and she felt the lecture up until the intermission was very good. Sis- ter Hodgson felt that she would have liked to have heard more on Canadian history of Trade Unions. E Women’s Council Sisters Lucille Busch, Elsie Gray and Muriel Bradley report- ed on the Annual Meeting of the Local Council of Women. They felt the report on our Auxiliary was very good. There were 95 affiliated Auxiliaries, each had a roll call vote of five votes, Com- mittee Chairmen and Executive Officers also had a vote. A discussion followed on the Dr. Robert Clark’s Report on Civic Government. A motion was passed that we instruct our rep- resentative to vote against this yeport, in view of the fact that we felt Commissioners in the Civic Government should be elected, not appointed. Members felt this in effect jeopardizes our democratic right to vote.
