Coast. The Loggers Navy, appearing this year in IWA green and gold colors, has 40’ length and 11’ beam, and is powered with a 52-h.p. Gardner Diesel, capable of 8 knots. Skipper is Ozzie Mattila, and crew member and organizer is “Scotty” Draper. Loggers Recover Plane Flares Redress was recently obtain- ed by the officers of Local 1-71 for 15 loggers who were flown to Pioneer Logging Co. camp only to find that the camp was shut down. Their plane flight left Vancouver on August 21, although the camp had closed August 20th. When the loggers requested their fare back they were at first refused. On return to Vancouver the grievance was reported to the Local Union office and immediate CALLING LOCAL 1-71 IWA from the Loggers Navy.
