Youbou, PLEA FOR BROTHERHOOD Plea to practice brotherhood and tolerance in the economic field as well as in church, was voiced by IWA_ International Representative Joe Miyazawa, speaking from the pulpit of St. Andrews - Wesley United Church, February 18, during a service to inaugurate Brother- hood Week. The same sentiments were ex- pressed by the speaker at a luncheon earlier in the day, held at the Georgia Hotel, under the chairmanship of Brigadier Murphy. He warned’ that racial discrimination is still rife in in- dustry. Trade unions, he declared, ex- press the spirit of fraternity and equality, and are pledged to com- bat racial prejudices. In this re- gard he praised the broad outlook of the IWA, which embraces men of many colors and races. Other speakers heard at the luncheon represented people of Chinese, Jewish, Negro, and East Indian origins.
