This decision was reached when representatives of the plant committee and of- ficers of Local 1-85, IWA, met with the management and For- est Industrial Relations Ltd. The grievance arose when the employees of Tahsis Mill reported that board and room was costing in excess of $2.25 a day, because of prices charged in the cafeteria. Under the management now es- tablished, the charge for room ac- commodation has been reduced to 25c per day, leaving the amount of $2.00 a day available for meals, in the cafeteria. Menus have been arranged to More Pie Canned milk has been restored to the menu, and no cl will be made for second helpings if requested. Pie cuts have been in- creased in size, Improvements have been made in ‘the married quarters. The agreement reached with the man- agement provides for a weel meeting with the plant committee to iron out any problems, The satisfactory settlement of a long list of grievances held by jemployees in this mill has re- sulted in a happier atmosphere, and congratulations for the plant committee and IWA.
