The plant committee requested revision of 22 categories and se- cured upward revision of 18 with increases ranging from % cent an hour to 10¢ an hour. Western Plywood Dispute which arose recently at Western Plywood has been satisfactorily adjusted by Local Union officials. The request of management that employees re- turn on Saturday mornings at Bi Package Plan Coverage For Eburne Millworkers Christmas parcel for employees of the Eburne Mills, Van- couver, was a new “package plan” of insurance, medical and hospital service, and sick benefits. The plan emerged from dis- cussions with the management by the IWA plant committee, Local 1-217, and.was accepted by the employees. The “package plan” based on joint contributions by employees and management, marked an im- provement on benefits previously arranged, by providing: $2,000 group life insurance. Medical service through M.S.A. B.C. Hospital Insurance. Weekly sick benefits of $20 for 0 days. Fifty percent of the cost of the plan will be borne by manage- ment.
