An error appeared in the daily papers and the last issue of

the Lumber Worker which stated

the Glaspie Lumber Company. The agreement and wage negotiations

have been held up for some time.

First of all, the manager, Mr.
Glaspie, was out of town, which
delayed the union receiving copy
of the wage scale. By the time
Mr. Glaspie sent the wage scale,
Mr. Stuart ,who represents the
operators, was jn Ottawa with
President Pritchett to appear at
the appeal to the National War
Labor Board on the vacation
clause in our agreement.

Meanwhile, a meeting held

Plans Labor
Day Rally -—

New Westminster will hold ‘its
third successive Labor Day Rally
at Queen’s Park stadium this
year. The affair is being spon-
sored by trade unions in that city
and district and invitations have
gone out to fraternal organiza-
tions to participate. Plans so
far include a parade along Colum-
bia Street to Queen’s Park where
prominent speakers will address
the gathering and entertainment
will be supplied by the Labor Arts
Guild.

mittee in charge. An effort to

monthly meeting of the Victoria Local -1-118 IWA Bro. T. Mac-
Donald, IWA Organizer, pointed out that it was the duty of every
member and Shop Steward to bring his plant up to the 100% mark.
