Clergyman hurt
in car accident

Ven. Archdeacon B. A. Resker,
onetime vicar of St. Peter’s
Church, was admitted to hospital
in Nelson Sunday suffering from
multiple lacerations sustained in
a head-on motor vehicle crash.

Accident occured at Harrop
Ferry Junction near Nelson, when
the car in which Mr. Resker was
driving was involved in a colli-
sion with a car driven by a juven-
ile.

Mr. Resker recently retired as
vicar of the Anglican church at
Castlegar. He was last in Wil-
liams Lake at the induction of
Rev. E. H. Wallace as vicar of
St. Peter's this fall.

In War Memorial Hospital suf-
fering with chest and shoulder
injuries is Walter Kohnke who
was hurt while loading logs with
a cat last Friday afternoon.

Kohnke, a self-employed mill
operator at Tyee Lake, was pin-
ned in the seat of his cat by a
log which rolled down oft the pile
while he was loading them onto a
green chain.
