The motorcycle will cross the southern states to Mexico then through Central America down into South America. If, after touring South America, the 14-year-old machine is still giving good service, Hans and Eva will then venture to Africa. However, if the vehicle is in need of repair, they will go back to Germany to purchase another. TRUSTWORTHY MACHINE The motorcycle, which Hans bought for $95, is a 1945 Zun- dapp. The Zundapp was built for the Germany army and went out of production after the war. The machine has two cylinders horizontally opposed. It has five forward gears and two res verse and there is not an inch of chain in the whole: of the mechanism. The entire weight of the outfit, including the trailer, is one and a half tons. Pulling this load the Zundapp still gets gallon of fuel. an advertisement for the Shell Oil Company.
