THE WILLIAMS LAKE TRIBUNE Page & Chamois speeds spring cleaning With spring housedzaning “here, one of the best items to have on hand is a genuine chamois which polishes off much of the time a housewife normally spends cleaning. At best, housecleaning is no breeze—particularly in this modern “glass age,"” where wide expanses ‘of windows and mirrors require a lion’s share of attention and labor. And that’s where chamois shines. With a chamois, the usual paraphernalia of glass cleaning is eliminated. All you-have to do is dip the chamois fu soapy water, wring about two-thirds dry and wipe away the haze. Then re-dip the chamois, wring completely and go over the glass to wipe up excess water. Chamois will do this efficiently without leaving streaks or re- quiring several rewipes. Chamois is unequalled for cleaning glassware, tiles and kitchen and bathroom fixtures. Unlike cloth, it leaves no lint, and any sharp particles of grime are picked up in the pores of the chamois and do not scratch surfaces. And chamois is easier on the hands —if you've _ever spent any amount of time wringing thick, coarse cloths, you know how your hands suffer. Use a small piece of chamois to polish your silver. Its mil- lions of tiny fibres will make silver shine without inflicting even a tiny serateh. Made from selected shi skins which are specially oil tanned to produce absorbent, soft and supple qualities, gen- uine chamois also adds a high gloss to wood surfaces. Once you've waxed or oil polished your furniture, a gentle polish- ing with chamois will keep the surfaces clean. Developed after five years of joint research by the tanning industry, genuine chamois can ben identified by a printed seal It is reported that not only did the ladies of the Royai Purple donate the use of the kitchen and banquet room for the highly successful tea spon- sored by the Hospiptal Auxil- Bride-to-be honored at shower Miss Norah Anderson was Pleasantly surprised last Wed- nesday when wives of hon- orary and active members of the Volunteer Wire Brigade Presented her with a miscel- laneous shower in honor of her forthcoming marriage to Reg Norberg this coming Monday.
