The doctor of the yillage was pitied because he waa married to a real witch. In publie, his wife, Hditha, would belittle him before the townspeople. She also flaunted her friendship with an odd-bal' mannish type person, Leslie Crispin. The plot thickens when Editha’s brother, Robert, a soulless leech, comes to sponge money from his sister. The choice of Editha as ‘‘ the body” is perfect for it cause: mixed feelings in the village. This is a real “ whodunnit” which keeps up the suspense un- til the last two pages. M.L.K.
