HELPING TO BEAT SEASONAL
SLUMP IS WORTHWHILE EFFORT

Every community faces a period of seasonal un-
employment at this time of year—now is the time when
skilled carpenters, plumbers and other tradesmen are
more readily available.

With this in mind, officials of the Federal Depart-
ment of Labor hit upon a “Do It Now” campaign,
urging householders and businessmen having the usual
springtime jobs done earlier in the year. The idea

A—They are loans made under the National Housing Act
to assist home-owners who want to Tepair, renovate or

A—You are elegible under the Act if you own a one-family
dwelling, a semi-detached house, or apartment or flats

Loans Act.

Q—HOW MUCH CAN I BORROW?

A—Up to $4,000 if you own a single-unit dwelling. If you
own a small apartment or a block of flats, you can bor-
row up to $8,500 for each family-housing unit up to
three additional units.

Q—HOW DO I REPAY?

A—In equal monthly instalments of principal,
terest.

Q—HOW LONG CAN I HAVE TO REPAY?

A—Up to a maximum of ten years to be arranged with the
Bank Manager on the basis of the amount of the loan.

Q—HOW DO I GO ABOUT GETTING A LOAN?

A—Call on your B of M manager. You will find him gen-

uinely interested in your plans, and glad to assist in
any way he can,
