Flag Designed
For Centennial

VICTORIA—A special Centen-
nial flag is being manufactured
to be frst officially hoistea
thoughout the province April 27,
1958.

That will be the Centennial
Day of Prayer, offering thanks
for the 100 progressive years
that have gone by and prayers
for the future. Beacon fires
will be lighted and the Centen-
nial flag raised at ceremonies
signalling the start of concen-
trated centennial celebrations
throughout the province.

The flag carries the centennial

crest on a white shield in the
middle-‘of an all-blue_ back-
ground.

The flags will be ready for
distribution, by the B.C. Centen-
