Centenary Plans Appointment of a committee to draft preliminary plans for the fitting commemoration of British Colum- bia’s centenary celebration in 1958 was announced last Wednesday by Premier W. A. C, eBnnett. The committee consists of Hon. W. K. Kiernan, minister of agricul- ture; Hon. R. G. Williston, minister of education; T. R. B. Adams, ex- ecutive director, Union of B.C. Mu- nicipalities; Alderman T. F. Orr, city of Vancouver; Dr. Maleolm Mc- Gregor of the University of British Columbia; L. J» Wallace, director of community programs of the depart- ment of education, and W. B. Ire- land, provincial librarian and archiv- ist.
